Take care of your body, it’s the only place you have to live.

Welcome Friends
My name is Vickie and I am a licensed therapist, certified health & wellness coach, and most importantly a mama to two little ones (Jackson & Sage).
I have made it my life work to walk along side women who are looking forward to entering motherhood or who have already been navigating this chapter of their life. I want to walk with you & help you find the ability to blend all the different roles you hold (mom, wife, daughter, friend, career woman, chef, chaperone, housekeeper, and so much more).
By focusing on you, we not only address your mental & emotional health, but your WHOLE person health.
Sometimes finding balance can feel impossible, so lets ditch that narrative & blend all the areas that are vital to you feeling calm, nourished, and well.
Early Days
A little about my story and why I’m so passionate about the work I do.
I’m a mom to two incredible gifts—Jackson (2.5) and Sage (6.5 months). I’m also a wife, a therapist, and a health and wellness coach.
While I haven’t always held these roles, I feel like everything in my life has led me to this moment—being present with my family and using my passions to support YOU. I'm here to provide the support, advocacy, and empowerment that every woman deserves.
Where it all began. I've always had a passion for helping others. With a background that includes an undergraduate degree in psychology, over eight years in applied behavior analysis, master’s degrees in management, organizational behavior, and social work, along with certifications in health and wellness (covering nutrition, gut health, whole-person health, and low-tox living), health has truly become my passion.
My journey here hasn’t always been straightforward. I began my career in Human Resources, worked as a behavioral therapist for children, and then transitioned into medical social work. I’ve worked in settings ranging from skilled nursing facilities and acute rehab centers to hospitals. Today, I’m in private practice and have created this space—Simply Real Motherhood.
Like you, I’ve faced my own struggles and challenges. As a recovering perfectionist who has battled anxiety and depression, used unhealthy coping strategies to get through difficult times (hello, college), and faced significant health challenges with both of my parents, I understand the importance of resilience and growth. These experiences have shaped how I view health, life, and my approach to supporting others.
I don’t see these challenges as obstacles but as my greatest teachers. I believe we shouldn’t let hardships keep us stuck. Instead, let’s learn from them, grow stronger, and build resilience. Let’s appreciate where you’ve been, where you are now, and where you want to go
Enter Motherhood
Back in 2020, during the height of COVID, I was stepping into my new role as a mom. But everything I had worked so hard on felt like it was slipping away. I was overwhelmed with worry—about my newborn’s health after a concerning ultrasound, about whether I was doing everything “right,” all while feeling exhausted, hormonal, and anxious.
Returning to work after maternity leave, the world was still shut down, and my anxiety continued to grow. I was constantly afraid of getting my family sick, and it felt like everything was rising to the surface.
Over time, I made a choice to slow down. I reassessed and realigned with my values, rolled up my sleeves, and did the inner work again.
What I’ve learned is that when we pause and prioritize ourselves, we begin to see the bigger picture. We start to appreciate the little moments. The things that used to keep us stressed—like piles of laundry, tantrums, and endless to-do lists—start to lose their grip on us.
If you're tired of always putting yourself last, it's time to reprioritize and put yourself back on your to-do list.
If your goal is to truly enjoy this phase of motherhood and feel healthy and well—inside and out—let’s sit down together and talk. You can still meet your demands, but you can take care of yourself, too.
Come, sit, let’s chat.
With love,
Your friend, therapist, and biggest cheerleader,
Vickie
